Course Descriptions:
- Brand Basics: Exploring Design with Kailah Ogawa
This week, our junior entrepreneurs will create their own mini business and bring it to life through branding. We’ll explore the basics of design (such as naming, logos, color, and pattern) through creating a visual identity for their own shop, product, or creative idea. Students will finish the week with a handmade brand world of their own to be proud of.
- Sticker Design with Jessica McMahel
Students will learn to design and create their own unique stickers using fun fine art techniques. They will come up with their own concepts for their sticker designs and bring them to life using easily accessible materials.
- Creating Your Own Kawaii Comic/Storybook with Mika Yamada
In this playful and imaginative art class, students will learn how to turn everyday objects and original ideas into adorable kawaii-style characters! Through step-by-step drawing activities, character design exercises, and simple storytelling lessons, students will create their own original characters and develop a mini handmade comic/storybook to take home by the end of the week.
