YAS needs your help! We’re raising money to launch our brand new 3D printing and digital design program. We’re thrilled to announce that the Youth Arts Series recently received a donation of two 3D printers from Vibrant Hawai‘i. This generous donation is the first step towards creating a new art and technology-based branch of our program.  

The goal of this fundraiser is to raise money for purchasing laptops, filament (the material used for 3D printing), and software. With these supplies we will be able to utilize the 3D printers to create unique workshop opportunities for keiki and teens featuring digital and fine art fusion. Our initial program will consist of merging 3D printing & printmaking. Students will learn to design and create their own printmaking tools using 3D printing technology. The class would include design principles, learning to use 3D printing software, and creating images using our traditional in-house printing press. We plan to grow this concept and build upon it to create more advanced veins as students develop their skill sets, allowing students to truly integrate the two processes.
