The Youth Arts Series and Snarkle Rocks

Kendama Decorating Workshop

EHCC/YAS, in collaboration with Snarkle Rocks Education, is pleased to announce a  fun and creative pop up workshop experience! Students will be guided through the process of decorating, customizing, and creating art on their kendamas. The workshop will conclude with an introduction on how to play, and feature Kendama USA player Jimmy Covington, and Bryson Lee from Sweets Kendamas. Jimmy and Bryson will provide kendama tutorials and share their experiences as sponsored players.

Snarkle Education creates playful learning experiences that use creativity, kendama, and

hands-on exploration to help people build confidence, connection, and resilience. We’re thrilled to partner with them on this unique experience

Students will be provided with a blank kendama. If they are interested in learning to create and build their own, Snarkle Rocks is also partnering with Hawai‘i Science and Technology Museum to put on a 3D printing workshop.
