Class Description:
Anagama (tunnel kiln) potter, Clayton Amemiya, will teach a class on traditional Japanese and Korean pottery, focusing on historical tea ceremony bowls produced in the late 1500’s. History and techniques (wheel throwing and hand building) will be included, with some works being created for the wood fired anagama. Students will be invited to participate in the 100 hour firing process.
 
Supplies: All firings and clays included with tuition. Clay – $40 for 25lbs
 
Workshops Refund Policy: A full refund will be issued if cancellation is prior to the registration deadline; if after the registration deadline but prior to the first class a 50% refund will be issued; and no refund will be issued after the first day of class.
