Augusto Murillo, photographer, videographer, editor, and director. Augusto Murillo was aphotographer in New York City for 9 years before traveling through South America for 7 years tohelp archaeologists document petroglyphs and pictographs in the Atacama desert in Chile,participated with anthropologists to recover the oral history of back-strap weavers in Peru, Chile,and Bolivia and directed the creation of a Bio-Circuit in the Peruvian Amazon. In Oahu, AugustoMurillo worked for the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, a center that educates, connects,and empowers security practitioners to build partner capacity, shared understanding, andnetworks to enhance stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. With this applied knowledge plushis life experience as a photographer, he created this course to help develop young leadersinside the community.
