ELIGIBILITY: Any artist residing on the Big Island
MEDIA: All media acceptable
CONDITIONS: Entries must be original works only,
completed within the past two years and not exhibited in
any juried show in the County of Hawai’i. No GICLEE
reproduction prints; digital art and photographs are OK.
Entries must be ready for installation with wire for
hanging and display bases and/or mounts. Shrink wrap,
clip frames and works difficult or unsafe to install may
not be accepted. Artist must be available for
installation of large or difficult works. All artwork is
displayed at the discretion of the Gallery Committee and
decisions are final.
All artwork is considered for sale unless listed as
“NFS”. A 40% commission for EHCC should be included in
your sales price.
ENTRY FEES: EHCC member: $15 per entry up to 3
entries / Non-Member: $25 per entry up to 3 entries
AWARDS: $1,000 in cash awards
State Foundation on Culture & the Arts is confirmed to
review this exhibition for acquisition awards.

Entries Due: Saturday, November 1. 2008, 8am to 12 noon
Juror’s Talk: Saturday, November 1, 2008, 3pm to 4pm
Acceptance Confirmation and Pick up of works not
selected: Call 961-5711 and pick up on Saturday,
November 1, 2008; 4pm-5pm or Monday, November 3, 2008,
10am-12 noon
Opening Reception and Awards Presentation: Friday,
November 7, 2008; 5:30pm-7:30pm
Exhibition: Friday, November 7, 2008 through
Wednesday, November 26, 2008
Pick up of selected works: Friday, November 28,
2008; 2pm-6pm
Artist/Agent must pick up all artwork (not selected and
selected) during designated times. Artwork remaining
after this time will be considered a donation to EHCC
for its fundraising efforts.
DISCLAIMER
All entries will be handled with utmost care. The East
Hawai’i Cultural Center will not be responsible for
damage, theft or loss of work submitted or exhibited.
Submission of artwork implies acceptance of all
conditions.
