Why is anyone allowed to disqualify my identity?
Why can't I kiss the person I love in public?
Why was it okay to be Mahu in early Hawaiian society but not now?
Why are you dying to know "who's the man and who's the woman"?
Does it matter if it's nature or nurture?
Why is it okay for people to stare at me, but not for me to ask why?
Someone might not like it, but we're here. We're present.
The exhibition Delineating Queer (DQ_ed.2017) brings together artists, not necessarily from the LGBTQ community, who in their works are concerned with the subject of sexuality, personal space, sexual identity or the socio-political situation of the LGBTQ environment.
